CONCEPT

THE HARVEST, BUT MAKE IT CINEMATIC

We approached this project with a filmmaker’s mindset — to push the boundaries of how a harvest could be seen and felt.

From first cut to final crate, we captured the entire process, aligning with Backsberg’s vision to present it to potential business connections and partners as an intimate, cinematic insight into their harvest practices.

SHADOW

To immerse the viewer fully, we set our sights on curating scenes where possible, creating a more dramatised tone and adding an element of intrigue into frame.

MOOD & TONE

LIGHT

Backlighting was our key player – defining edges, adding depth, and lifting the subject from the background. We paired it with natural light, shooting through the vines to introduce flares, texture, and a subtle atmosphere you can’t fake.

COLOUR

NATURAL COLOUR

Harvest naturally delivers a rich palette – from the vineyard’s earthy tones and lush greens to the deep reds of the tannins. Rather than dial it back, we leaned into it – shooting full-frame colour scenes and grading in a way that amplifies the colour while staying true to the natural aesthetic.

RAW, BUT POLISHED

Every natural process comes with raw, imperfect moments – and rather than hiding them, we refined and polished them through our visual approach. The aim was to retain the honesty of the harvest while presenting it with a cinematic aesthetic that feels natural, refined, and visually engaging.
