The overall aim when it comes to food cinematography is to create a product beyond the skills of your average videographer. To achieve this, we mastered a unique blend of skills and techniques to showcase food in a new and interesting way.
SALON RESTAURANT | WINTER CAMPAIGN
SALON stands as a beacon of culinary exploration in the Cape Town scene. This winter campaign focuses largely on seasonality and whole ingredients, using gastronomy and various innovative techniques to bring their new offering to life. Our aim was to create great intrigue within the customer base to increase the Customer Lifetime Value.
THE RED ROOM | CHEFS WAREHOUSE
We created this piece for Chefs Warehouse at The Red Room to capture the appeal and precision behind their Peking Duck dish. Using purpose-based lighting and layered sound effects, the video takes on a cinematic and premium feel. The goal was to put a new slant on the process of preparing this particular dish and showcasing it within an aesthetically pleasing light.
SALON RESTAURANT REBRAND | LUKE DALE ROBERTS GROUP
Created over a two-day shoot, this rebrand film for SALON captures the restaurant’s essence through a rich visual language of full-frame colour, texture, and movement. With an emphasis on macro detail and sensory experience, the content connects guest with the repositioning of the restaurant.

BACKSBERG WINE ESTATE | DOUGLAS GREEN BELLINGHAM
Our visual goal with this project was to create the most film-like harvest shoot, through curating scenes as much as possible when continuous video lighting was able to be utilised in controlled situations. The result reflected a great attention to detail on each step of the process of how Backsberg produces their wine from start to finish. The project’s purpose was intended for investors and potential partners.

This video introduced new pieces from the clothing brand whilst maintaining a nostalgic look and feel, designed to give viewers a glimpse of what to expect from the women’s summer collection.
